My child is a junior. She is working on the honors pathway. Looking at the courses and I have a question about the US History Requirements. She is currently enrolled in the AP US History course. Is it necessary that she also take the US History A and B courses? These two are listed as required. If a child is able to successfully take an AP Course should they be required to take a non-AP course on the same content?

Students require 1.0 credit of US History. AP United States History or US History A & B will fulfill this requirement.
