My son is an eighth grader who just finished the first semester at a public school.

After reviewing the courses for eighth grade, it appears these courses are for the entire year of eighth grade.

I understand Acellus is self-guided, and does not follow a specific calendar.  

My question is simply this - do students who enroll in Acellus after completing the first half of their grade in public school still take the entire years worth of courses?

Students will start at the beginning of each course they are placed in. There is not a way to start a class part-way through in Acellus Academy.

However, the program is completely self-paced. Students will move quickly through any material they understand or have learned previously, but the program will slow down and provide additional instruction if they are struggling.
