Transfer Credits
02 March 2023, 16:40
After reading some questions, I am concerned about which high school credits will transfer. I was told during the pre-enrollment inquiry on the phone that the names/titles of the classes do not need to match. However, I know understand that my daughter's Physical Science class from 9th grade will not meet the science requirement for an honors diploma because it is not one of the science's on the requirements list. Is that accurate and, if so, will it still transfer as an elective? Similarly, her geometry and algebra I classes were called Integrated Math 1 and 2. I am now worried that she will also not get credit for these since the names are different.

When importing credits from another school, we recommend that parents enter each credit's details according to the previous school's transcript. Parents want to ensure they input the credits under the correct Subject Area when entering the credits. Here is a list of our two graduation pathways with their Subject Areas for reference:
STANDARD PATHWAY:
CORE CLASSES:
- English (Language Arts)
- Social Studies - Social Studies is broken up into 4 categories:
- US History
- US Government
- Personal Finance

- Algebra I
- Mathematics (general math courses that are not Algebra I)
- Science
ELECTIVES:
- Fine Arts (performing arts, cinematography, etc.)
- Health & Physical Education
- Practical Arts (career and technical education)
